Our Festival Headquarters, and bulk of the fest screenings and events are held at the Prytania Theatres At Canal Place in downtown New Orleans at the edge of the French Quarter and the Central Business District. There are plenty of housing options in the area. There is no shortage of great places to stay all over the city, haunted or otherwise, but the best way to enjoy the festival is by booking a room with our partner hotels!

Getting There

The closest airport to festival headquarters is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), roughly 25 minutes away from the French Quarter. Alternatively, you can fly into Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) and book a shuttle (just under a 90-minute ride to French Quarter).

PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

In need of group transportation to the Overlook Film Festival? National Charter Bus offers charter bus rentals in New Orleans, providing comfortable and convenient transportation for groups of all sizes. Parking

If you are coming to the Prytania Theatre at Canal Place, you are eligible to purchase discounted parking for the P400 garage attached to Canal Place Mall entrance on Iberville St.

If you will be staying for longer than the standard 4 hours, please visit the Prytania Theatres Concessions Stand for parking information and assistance. We’re happy to help make your festival experience seamless!

Prytania Theatres can only validate if you park in the Canal Place Parking Garage P400 entrance on Iberville St.

PAYING FOR PARKING MUST BE DONE UPON ARRIVAL TO AVOID BEING TICKETED OR BOOTED.

Prytania Theatres will then validate your parking, which will discount your parking down to $5.00. Please validate parking at the concession stand with a staff member on arrival! (this is only available to customers who have purchased a movie ticket.)

$5 after validation – Validated rate available to cinemagoers with proof of ticket purchase from Cinema Box Office/Concession Stand at Prytania Theatres at Canal Place. To receive a Validation, please transact through the Premium Parking platform by selecting the “Prytania Theatre at Canal Place 4Hrs” rate (App, TextPay, or website) and visit the box office/Concessions on Level 3 to receive a refund to your transaction. Validated rates are offered during cinema operating hours and for up to four hours only.
